At the far side of Lake Louise sits a quartzite wall that holds some of the best rock climbing in Banff National Park. As one climbs above the trees on the incredible climbing routes, the view looking back at the lake reveals the glacier melt flowing through the sandy delta and dropping 'rock flour' - tiny silt particles - into the lake, which gives it it's vibrant turquoise color.
